UUFCC Diversity Committee

The BTWWDA workshop facilitators and participants met in the fall and decided to meet quarterly to share information about projects and activities that members are involved in, to discuss current events that relate to the topics covered in the class, and to support each other in our efforts to educate others about oppressions as we strive to build a just and equitable multi-cultural world.

A Dialog on Race and Ethnicity

Marian Dornell and Jean Wiant, CRE, DLRE, are leading a discussion group on the 2nd Sunday of every month during the Lifespan Learning Hour (11:30am-12:30pm) called ADORE - A Dialogue on Race and Ethnicity. We offer a safe time and place for open and honest discussion about matters of race.

Fourth Friday Diversity Films

Join us on the 4^th Friday of the month to watch and discuss a film related to diversity. Each discussion will be facilitated by a person knowledgeable about the topic of the film. We will provide snacks and drinks.

Mois�s Kaufman and members of New York's Tectonic Theater Project went to Laramie, Wyoming after the murder of Matthew Shepard. This is a film version of the play they wrote based on more than 200 interviews they conducted in Laramie.

April 24 � Normal, facilitated by R. Neill Johnson
