SUMMARY:Community Event - AAUW Used Book Sale
DESCRIPTION:The AAUW State College Used Book Sale\, one of the largest used book sales in the country\, is a popular community event held annually in the spring since 1962.  During the sale\, thousands of visitors converge on Penn State’s Snider Agricultural Arena to browse and purchase up to quarter of a million books and other materials. Special sale features include children’s books\, collectibles\, puzzles and games\, a half-price day\, and a “bag day” with further discounts. \nRead more here for a map\, and information about how proceeds are used.

DESCRIPTION:In October\, the Board took an initial crack at updating the UUFCC mission. This is what we came up with: \nCreating a beloved community through lifelong service and spiritual exploration. \nThe next part of our process is to review and revise our vision statement. Once we do this\, we will revisit the mission statement incorporating what we learned from your comments and the visioning exercise. \nYou are invited to join us as Rev. Tracy leads us through a process to articulate our vision. Light refreshments will be available. A Zoom link will also be available. Please sign up here. \nWe aim to share the new vision and mission statements at our annual meeting in June and vote on them at the midyear meeting in November.
