The Justice Singers of Centre County are an open community gathering for those who find power, healing, and connection through song in the face of injustice. The group sings songs of protest, resilience, and hope, drawing from resources like Rise Up Singing. Participants are encouraged to bring themselves, a friend, and an instrument if they like, but no experience is required—just a willingness to lift your voice. The circle also explores opportunities to sing at local actions and events, such as the May Day Strong Day of Action, Pride, and other protests.
Join UUFCC at State College Pride 2025! UUFCC will be proudly marching in the parade and hosting an outreach table at State College Pride! Sign up to march with us in the parade, or volunteer at our table in 2-hour shifts—feel free to sign up for more than one slot. Sign up here. Let’s show our spirit and support together! EJL’s mission is to establish a powerful social justice coalition that actively advocates for and promotes equity for marginalized populations. We are committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by communities of color, individuals who identify as women, LGBTQ+ individuals, promoting accessibility for people with disabilities, respecting and supporting individuals of all religions, and bridging the socioeconomic gap through equitable education.
Each week our kids will gather to explore our world in light of our UU values. Pre-K/K friends will engage in guided exploration of various topics with their wonderful teachers. Sue Smith and Rocky Landers, downstairs in Room D.
This morning, Michel Lee Garrett offers the sermon celebrating Pride. Tracy and Ashley are on hand to lead us in a celebration of bridging for Sebastion Mickle and a blessing ritual for Michel. And Lillian Rossi will be offering the Wisdom Lesson. Special music from the choir, too! So much joy this month of pride! Please join us at 9:30 am for a pre-service dance party in the circle. Send Rev. Tracy your song requests. Wear your pride!
Join us this Sunday in the sanctuary for a Wisdom Lesson, then we'll go downstairs for Pride activities and a scavenger hunt.
Are you concerned about our democracy? Feeling overwhelmed and stressed by current events? Please join others in the library every Sunday after the service from 11 to 11:30 or longer for sharing and mutual support (except the first Sunday).
If you're new or have questions, come to the library and chat and learn!
