Community Event – “When Facts Meet Fiction – Communication Strategies for Countering Climate Misinformation & Disinformation”
Foxdale Auditorium 500 E Marylyn Ave, State College, United StatesLocated at the Foxdale Village Auditorium With guest speaker Janet Swim: Every day, we encounter claims about climate change through news stories, social media, and conversations with others. While some information is accurate, other claims can be misleading or intentionally deceptive. In this engaging presentation, Dr. Janet K. Swim, Professor of Psychology and Associate Director of the Penn State Climate Consortium, will explore why some common approaches to correcting climate misinformation are often ineffective.

Song Circle
UUFCC - Sanctuary 780 Waupelani Drive, State College, PA, United StatesThe UUFCC Song Circle offers a fun, monthly opportunity to make music together with voices, guitars, banjos, ukuleles, drums, kazoos, etc. Anyone from the Fellowship or local community can join us to play, sing, or listen. We go around the circle with each person choosing the next song, either from our song-books or a song they brought to share. Contact Pam Short for more information.

RE: Middle School
UUFCC - Sanctuary, then Room 6 780 Waupelani Drive Ext., State College, PA, United StatesMiddle School youth engage in UU Identity through themes each month and fun activities using our Soul Matters curriculum. In services led by Rev. Tracy Sprowls, kids remain in the Sanctuary until the Wisdom Lesson, then go to class. In multigenerational services, they stay for the entire service.

1st through 5th grade kids are learning our values through the monthly congregational themes, and have a bi-monthly social justice book project and activity. In services led by Rev.
