Supporting Fundraisers

The Yard Sale is held annually. Support this fundraiser by volunteering to help before and on the day of the sale, by donating items, and by shopping at the sale yourself. Learn more about the Yard Sale here.

The Auction is held annually as one of our largest fundraisers. Members contribute items and services. On the day of the auction dinner, some items are auctioned off by an auctioneer and others are displayed around the room for people to bid on silently. People can continue to buy auction items outside of the dinner event by bidding online. Some of the service opportunities have included yard work, airport rides, and bread making lessons.

The UUFCC Gift Card fundraiser is the easiest, most painless fundraiser ever. Here’s how it works. Giant and Weis sell us cards at a 5% discount, Sheetz at 3%. We buy Weis and Giant $100 cards for $95, and, in turn, sell them at face value, resulting in a $5 profit for the Fellowship.

If you’re a person who spends $100 a week at any of these stores, you could be donating $250 a year to the Fellowship without spending an extra cent.

There are lots of ways you can use the cards besides just for groceries – buy gas, fill prescriptions, buy beer or wine, buy stamps and mail packages at the N and S Atherton Weis markets, give them as holiday presents or tips, contribute a few to a local nonprofit like the Food Bank or Centre Safe, give them to your high schooler to use for after school snacks or to a college student to use while they’re away from home.

Be prepared to do your holiday shopping AND help our Beloved Community both at the same time! Grocery store gift cards are on sale in Fellowship Hall every Sunday after the service. Bring your checkbook or cash.
