Adult Religious Education

As Unitarian Universalists, we are dedicated to the lifelong search for truth and meaning. In his essay “Guiding Principles for a Free Faith,” prominent 20th century UU theologian James Luther Adams said, “Religious liberalism depends on the principle that ‘revelation’ is continuous.” Unitarian Universalism is called a living tradition because we are always learning new and deeper truths.

Lifespan RE Hour is every Sunday, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Held during Lifespan RE Hour on Sundays. Usually hybrid, in person and on Zoom.
Open to the public.
Join us for a series of presentations and discussion on the relevant topics in our culture today. We seek through this series to educate ourselves more deeply and learn steps to action that we can take in order to make a difference. As much as we can, we will be building to form collaborative work with other area congregations and organizations so that our work can have a more powerful impact.

Small Group Ministry

Community Circle
Are you concerned about our democracy? Feeling overwhelmed and stressed by current events?
In the library every Sunday after the service from 11 to 11:30 or longer for sharing and mutual support (except the first Sunday)

Transitions Group
We face transitions all the time from getting up in the morning after a night’s rest to retiring from a job to losing a loved one. Transitions are everywhere and they are everyday. What questions do you carry with you for those life changing transitions? What hopes or fears find their way into your consciousness? What can you offer others as they face their own transitions? This is a time to connect deeply and richly about the transitions, good and bad, in our lives.
Third Thursday after Fellowship Supper

Birding as a Spiritual Practice
Using such books as Amy Tan’s The Backyard Chronicles and other birding resources in addition to walks out in nature, we explore the relationships between our natural world and our spiritual lives.
Dates TBD.

8 Minutes Spiritual Practice
This group commits to developing deeper bonds with each other in just eight minutes a week. Explore this website and then let’s connect. Let Rev. Tracy know of your interest.
