Our Whole Lives (OWL)

What is OWL?

Honest, accurate information about sexuality changes lives. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives. For these reasons and more, we are proud to offer Our Whole Lives (OWL), a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education curricula for use in both secular settings and faith communities. We work to offer this program to our whole community.

OWL has been used in churches, Jewish congregations, UU congregations, charter schools, community organizations, and correctional facilities.

Participants engage in highly interactive and engaging activities in a confidential and safe space with trained facilitators. We know you will want to invest with us in this anti-bias, inclusive and life-saving curriculum!

Seven curricula speak to participants’ needs, by age group

We are all born as sexual beings, but because our bodies and our sexuality changes throughout our lifetime, it is important to understand these changes and how we can navigate our sexuality at all ages. Classes are divided as follows:

  • K-1
  • 4th-6th
  • 7th-9th
  • 10th-12th
  • Young Adult
  • Adult
  • Older Adult

OWL has been parent approved for youth since 2000. Come learn how to put your kids in the program, participate yourself, or become a trained OWL facilitator. Contact the Minister (Rev. Tracy Sprowls) or the Director of Religious Lifespan Education (Ashley Hamlin) for more information.

Current OWL Programs

Currently, we are not offering OWL programs, but are working on training more facilitators so that we can offer this program to a wider range of ages. Check back for updates!
