The Centre County Interfaith Coalition for Gun Safety is an alliance of local religious leaders and community members committed to building a peaceful society free from preventable gun violence. Through our work, we educate on issues related to gun violence, advocate for responsible and safe gun ownership, and unite with local, state, and federal officials on matters of gun safety that benefit the whole community.
We are thrilled to be hosting Rep. Paul Takac on July 22nd at 4:00 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Centre County. We are grateful to be able to continue the conversation we began in Harrisburg last May. Please join the conversation!

Now is the time to shed. If you are able, save donations until Sunday, August 11. We will be able to pick up items for people during Aug. 11-15. However, if you are moving or pushed, Bonnie Rossi has made room in the building to store some items, even some larger ones, until the sale -- starting now. Please don't bring items early unless you have no alternative. We take almost any items in good condition except clothing, outdated technology and protective gear, as well as items too heavy or bulky to handle and sell (e.g. exercise equipment). How can I connect to this community? One way is nurturing relationships and another is by getting involved and engaged in what is happening here at UUFCC. After the service, please take a walk through the Community Room to visit our Engagement Fair. Different committees, programs, and ministries of the congregation will be on display. It's that time of year again, Chili and the Mid-Year Meeting. Chili Cookoff will begin at 10:45 after the service. Please sign up to help run this event and bring chili or sides to make this event a success. Voting tickets will be sold for $5 per person and $10 per family. Bring all Chili in a crock pot and bring a muffin tin to taste all the chili. (Sign up here!) Midyear Meeting will begin after the cook off at 11:30 AM. Regardless of the outcome of the 2024 election or even if we still don’t know the results of the election, Rev. Tracy will hold space for those who wish to debrief, share, and reflect on these last few months and the months ahead.

The Program Council and RE Events Team will host this years holiday party in the community room! come for some fellowship , crafts, holiday food, Toy Exchange and games. High Schoolers will host a Hot Cocoa Bar, and Middle Schoolers will help decorate cookies . Sign up to help here!
You can help spread joy and love this holiday season by donating used toys and games for children. These donations will be used at a toy exchange to help lessen the burden this holiday season. In the spirit of lessening our carbon footprint we can reduce our holiday shopping with this exchange. All items will be swapped for a donate what you can amount or trade. Rev. Tracy visits with the residents of Foxdale on the third Friday of each month. The meetings are free-flowing conversations on topics ranging from Unitarian Universalism to local news and world issues.

Collaboration on Access to Lethal Means (CALM) We are excited to invite Marisa Vicere from the Jana Marie Foundation back for a CALM Conversations training on Monday, January 13th from 3:00 - 4:30. We’ll have a brief CCIC4GS update and the move quickly into the training. During the training, you will learn the signs and symptoms of suicide and how to engage in conversations to create safe environments. The training provides steps on how to collaborate with friends, family members, neighbors, and others, to implement safe storage of firearms and medications. To learn more about CALM, click here.
