Come celebrate the Winter Solstice on December 21 with the Song Circle and Rev. Tracy. This short service honors the longest day and the return of the Sun. After the service, stay and sing songs of the season followed by hot drinks and treats. The service takes place around the fire pit in the UUFCC yard. All ages are welcome!

An exciting excursion to the Priestley house in PA! We will need to bring chairs and tables, food, and drink, and musical instruments. It takes about ~75 minutes to Northumberland by Route 80, and a little longer on Route 45 or 192, although they are more pleasant. Plan on leaving about 10:30 from State College, set up picnic around noon. Have a brief speech, and then impromptu music and poetry and whatever. We will eat and park by the chapel. Join us for a short Annual Meeting, after which we will celebrate the end of the year! We’ll gather outdoors (weather permitting) for a festive potluck to celebrate the close of the RE year. The Board will provide sandwich fixings, and the RE Team will treat us to an ice cream bar. This is also a special opportunity to welcome back Ashley Hamlin, our Director of Religious Lifespan Education. Bring a dish to share and come celebrate with us!
As the sun passes its halfway point between the summer solstice and fall equinox, we will gather by the UUFCC firepit on Saturday night, August 2, to celebrate this harvest season. Bring a chair, drink, food, and story or song. The fire will be lit around 8:30. Questions – contact Andy Lau.
Our annual Chili Cook-off happens in tandem with the RE Halloween fest. Join us for fun artsy Halloween-themed activities for all ages. Bring your tummy empty for the chili buffet, and an empty muffin tray to taste all the chilis! Donations are appreciated! Want to submit your own chili and win Best Meat or Best Vegetarian? Join our Safety Task Force this Sunday from 11:30-1:00 to learn about our safety policies, participate in hands-on training with a fire extinguisher and defibrillator, deescalation training and more. Kids will create de-stress boxes and explore how to handle fear through stories and activities.
Meet at the Arboretum. We will walk around the Arboretum and also can enjoy the Palmer Museum should the weather not be conducive to walking around outside.
Experience communal drumming, learn various African rhythms and have fun. Drums are provided but bring your own if you wish!
