Middle School youth are invited for a monthly hangout to begin Nov 23! The youth will meet downstairs at the UU in the Gathering Space from 5-7 pm and play games, eat pizza, and just have fun. Our service on Sunday is a worship service and a meal woven together to tap into the heart of what it means to be in embodied spiritual community with one another. Through the centuries, people have gathered to worship while eating meals together. Harvest rituals celebrate food and promise. Passover Seders recognize freedom and redemption. The participants of the UUFCC Resilience and Acceptance in the Face of Collapse course (which met from October 2023-February 2024) would like to invite UUFCC members and others to participate in the UUFCC Resilience and Acceptance Discussion Group. Our Whole Lives (OWL), is a comprehensive sexuality education program that is a signature curriculum of the UUA and the United Church of Christ. It is a life-saving course that helps kids explore their values around their bodies, identities, relationships, health, and justice and equity. They engage in highly interactive activities and discussions which give them age-appropriate information and decision-making skills so that they can feel empowered to stand up for themselves and others and navigate relationships according to their values. We are a women's book club that meet on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM. We choose our books once a year, and the person who recommends the book generally leads the discussion. ...with Elaine Jurs and Cathi Alloway. In this season of gift-giving, we pause to consider gifts from the heart, unexpected gifts, gifts given in love, and the nature of giving gifts. What memorable gifts have you received in your life? We will welcome a guest violist, John Roxburgh, and Martha Jordan will be hymn accompanist. Members of the Choir will assist in leading the hymn singing, which includes “Tis a Gift To Be Simple,” and “Life is the Greatest Gift of All.”

Our goal is to maintain and enhance the UUFCC's green sanctuary certification by promoting ecojustice and the environmental practices that make ecojustice possible. We do this through projects at the UUFCC and in the broader community, focusing on renewable energy, and promoting the use of sustainable food, green transportation, and clean water.
