The UUFCC Song Circle offers a fun, monthly opportunity to make music together with voices, guitars, banjos, ukuleles, drums, kazoos, etc. Anyone from the Fellowship or local community can join us to play, sing, or listen. On October 13, we honor Indigenous People’s Day with a service that considers the question who does the land belong to? What should we be considering around land issues where some believe the land belongs to them and others believe they belong to the land?
A Conversation with Professor John Sanchez JOHN SANCHEZ (Nde [Apache]/Yaqui) is an Emeritus Professor of Journalism at Penn State. His research endeavors are at the intersection of Indigenous cultures and the American news media.
The UUFCC Jazz Band is open to all. Rehearsals occur on Sundays in the Sanctuary, although occasionally the band may rehearse in Room 6 due to major church events. Contact David Morris if interested.
On Old Main Patio FREE Indigenous student, faculty, and staff leaders will speak, and artists will perform in honor of Indigenous Peoples' Resistance. The Jake George Family will perform a smoke dance to welcome guests. Supaman will perform at approximately 1 p.m. Presented by the Center for the Performing Arts in collaboration with Penn State Indigenous Faculty and Staff Alliance, Indigenous Peoples’ Student Association, and Student Affairs.
