This is Day 1 of the Workshop held over Zoom. Anyone is welcome to join in a group Zoom in Room 6 at the Fellowship Friday and Saturday for this workshop. To do that, UUs must attend to the unfinished business of dismantling racism and oppression in our congregations and Association and with our community partners. ClearWater Conservancy sponsors this event and provides garbage bags and gloves, but you will be better off bringing your own gloves if you have them; also tick spray, and a hat you can spray and wear. What can we learn about ourselves when we begin to learn about how your reptile brain functions, than when manipulated, can make you (and others) do things that seem inconceivable? Penny Eifrig shares her recent experience with amygdala hijack, and how it can explain many behaviors in today’s world.

The participants of the UUFCC Resilience and Acceptance in the Face of Collapse course (which met from October 2023-February 2024) would like to invite UUFCC members and others to participate in the UUFCC Resilience and Acceptance Discussion Group. The Foxdale Climate Care Committee presents this event. Come learn about the fundamentals of Earth's changing climate, including the evidence for warming, the contributions of humans, the impacts on ecosystems and society, and how our actions now will determine the severity of the threat to our future generations. Dr. Najjar is Professor of Oceanography in the PSU Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science with a joint appointment in the Department of Geosciences.
