Pianist Seulki Susie Yoo will perform a benefit recital for the Alzheimer’s Foundation at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at UUFCC. Her program,”Bringing Light through Music,” will feature the Opus 10 and Opus 25 Etudes by Frederic Chopin. Seullki recently earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from Penn State, where she currently accompanies faculty and students. Seulki was the Gold Prize winner in the 2021 Quebec International Competition and has been a prize winner or finalist in other international competitions. Seulki Susie Yoo is thrilled to present this Chopin recital at UUFCC to support the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. She aims to raise essential funds for the Alzheimer’s Foundation’s critical efforts in enhancing the lives of those impacted by this challenging disease, including her own family members. Since graduating from Penn State with a D.M.A. in 2022, Seulki has been dedicated to promoting Paul Dukas’s piano repertoire at numerous conferences, and her recording album, “Paul Dukas Entire Piano Collection,” will be released later this year. As a winner and finalist of multiple international competitions, including the Quebec International Competition and the Brahms International Competition, Seulki has been invited to perform as a soloist and in ensembles at many venues in the U.S. and abroad. She has collaborated with members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra, among others. Later this year she will be performing at the Carnegie Weill Hall in New York, the Gilmore International Piano Festival, and as a Fellow at the Aspen International Music Festival
