    Our goal is to maintain and enhance the UUFCC's green sanctuary certification by promoting ecojustice and the environmental practices that make ecojustice possible. We do this through projects at the UUFCC and in the broader community, focusing on renewable energy, and promoting the use of sustainable food, green transportation, and clean water.

    The UUFCC Jazz Band is open to all. Rehearsals occur on Sundays in the Sanctuary, although occasionally the band may rehearse in Room 6 due to major church events. Contact David Morris if interested.

  • Community Event – “Guns to Garden Tools”

    Join us for a blacksmith demonstration where participants can assist in transforming a gun into a garden tool. Several local organizations will be tabling. This is a family friendly downtown event with art, music, and engaging ways to create peace. Location: Parking lot behind St Paul's United Methodist Church & Abba Java Coffee House.

  • Community Event: Panel Discussion About Outdoor Rec at CCF

    The public is invited to a Panel Discussion about the importance of outdoor recreation for people incarcerated at our county jail.  Panelists include formerly incarcerated individuals Lee Powers, Kerry Cavenaugh and Irvin Moore, Cindy Carpenter who will speak on the importance of sunlight to our well-being, and Mark Kissling who will provide background on the campaign since it began three years ago.
