Sunday Service – “Rock What You Got!”
...with Rev. Tracy Sprowls. Music: UUFCC Choir. From Soul Matters: "Of all our themes this year, Embracing Possibility is arguably most central to our faith. It has distinguished Unitarian Universalists from our beginning. Historically, when others saw depravity and sin at the core of human identity, we saw potential. When many were preaching that this world is fallen, we fell in love with the possibility of heaven on earth." This month we explore the theme of possibility in our own lives and for this great, beautiful world.
It Matters What You Believe
This series explores the 5 smooth stones of Unitarian Universalism written by James Luther Adams as our starting point and container. The sessions cover: truth, connection, justice, agency, and hope. Come to any one session or all. Sign up here.
Justice Committee Table
Every second Sunday in the hallway outside Fellowship Hall, the Justice Committee hosts an action table dedicated to offering you practical opportunities for advocacy and social justice engagement. We connect you with tools such as the 5Calls app and provide postcard-writing materials to help make your voice heard, alongside curated recommendations for social justice books available in our library. We invite you to stop by after the service to connect with committee members and find meaningful ways to support our shared mission of building a more just and inclusive world.
The history of Israel and Palestine Class Series
Sponsored by the Justice Committee & led by Janet Irons every Sunday in April. Join us for a discussion class exploring the history of Israel and Palestine in a safe space dedicated to providing you with deeper understanding and conversation. Utilizing resources from the UUA and Unitarian Universalists for Justice in the Middle East, we will guide you through historical contexts and terminology while highlighting local efforts to elevate the understanding of this crisis in our own community. Through sharing and reflection, we will discover meaningful activism opportunities and paths for action to support justice and peace both locally and beyond.
