Set in 1920s Oklahoma, this film tells the true story of a corrupt political boss who orchestrates the murders of oil-rich Osage Nation members, manipulating his nephew into betraying his Osage wife until the Bureau of Investigation uncovers the conspiracy. It is a haunting tale of greed, betrayal, and injustice. (3 hrs. 26 min., R) This film will be shown in two parts: Part One on Thursday, October 2, and Part Two on Friday, October 3. The Multicultural Film Festival is free and open to the public. |
