...with Rev. Tracy Sprowls. Attention spans are shorter, young children exposed to screens are less verbal, and teenagers struggle with mental illness or isolation. Is technology and social media the culprit? How does technology change our brains? How does it affect our ability to relate as humans? What about our spiritual lives? This sermon idea comes from Peter Kemper who bought the sermon at the 2023 Service Auction.

Our goal is to maintain and enhance the UUFCC's green sanctuary certification by promoting ecojustice and the environmental practices that make ecojustice possible. We do this through projects at the UUFCC and in the broader community, focusing on renewable energy, and promoting the use of sustainable food, green transportation, and clean water.
The UUFCC Jazz Band is open to all. Rehearsals occur on Sundays in the Sanctuary, although occasionally the band may rehearse in Room 6 due to major church events. Contact David Morris if interested.
Please join Joanne Tosti-Vasey, Chair of the Centre County Advisory Committee for the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC) and Jesse Barlow whose service on the PHRC's advisory board informed his work as a Council member and his public service in general. This presentation will discuss the function of the PHRC's role in enforcing Pennsylvania's anti-discrimination laws and the Advisory Committee's role in monitoring acts of tension against marginalized groups in Centre County.

Parents' Night Out! Just drop your kids off to play and build fun connections with other friends and enjoy some time out for yourself! We will provide games, crafts, dinner, and a movie.
Parents with elementary-aged kids are invited to join our Family Chapel each month! This is an interactive mini "service" which Ashley leads on our monthly congregational theme with a social justice focus. Come and learn and worship together in a fun, kid-friendly space.

ClearWater Conservancy sponsors this event and provides garbage bags and gloves, but you will be better off bringing your own gloves if you have them; also tick spray, and a hat you can spray and wear.
