Addressing the Affordable Housing Crisis
Everyone in State College deserves a safe, affordable place to call home, raise their families and live a vibrant, dignified, and full life. But outdated zoning rules that block many types of affordable housing are fueling a crisis that's squeezing hardworking residents.
Soulful Sundown – “Light in Dark December”
...with Chas Brua. We will explore sources of light -- Hanukkah, Christmas, and the stark beauty of winter -- and do a Zoom-adapted version of a "winter meditation spiral."
Winter Solstice Service
Dinner at 6pm followed by the Winter Solstice ritual + carol sing-along led by UU Adventurers. We come together to celebrate and honor the wheel of the year, the turning of the earth and thus the changing of the seasons. This is a service in which we honor and celebrate our deep connection to the earth and welcome back the light. This intergenerational service will be outside next to the firepit. Dress warmly. Followed by Hot Apple Cider and Holiday Carol singing with the UU Adventurers.
