This week: Start in the sanctuary for a Costume Parade and Thriller Flash Mob, then go downstairs with Sue to explore "My World Has Darkness", Sign-in is at the Welcome Table Each week our kids gather to explore our world in light of our UU values. Pre-K/K friends will engage in guided exploration of various topics with their wonderful teachers, Sue Smith and Rocky Landers, downstairs in Room D.

RE: Middle School – Zendoodling

UUFCC - Room 6 780 Waupelani Drive, State College

This week: Start in Room 6. Middle School youth engage in UU Identity through themes each month and fun activities using our Soul Matters curriculum.  In most services led by Rev. Tracy Sprowls, kids remain in the Sanctuary until the Wisdom Lesson, then go to class. In multigenerational services, they stay for the entire service.

RE: 1st-5th Grade – Costume Parade

1st through 5th grade kids are learning our values through the monthly congregational themes, and have a bi-monthly social justice book project and activity. In services led by Rev. Chili Cookoff & Halloween

Our annual Chili Cook-off happens in tandem with the RE Halloween fest. Join us for fun artsy Halloween-themed activities for all ages. Bring your tummy empty for the chili buffet, and an empty muffin tray to taste all the chilis! Donations are appreciated! Want to submit your own chili and win Best Meat or Best Vegetarian? For the first time in over a decade, LGBTQIA+ Communities & Allies unite to march on Harrisburg to demand the protection of our rights and healthcare! Community Event: State College Choral Society – Luck, Laughter, and Love (State College)

We are excited to be joining forces with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra to open the 77th season of the State College Choral Society with the perennial favorite, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Inspired by a collection of Medieval poetry from southern Germany, Orff composed the music in 1935 in a style purposefully much simpler and more tonal than his contemporaries Schoenberg and Stravinsky.  The poetry’s focus on the fickleness of luck, life in the tavern, and the thrill of springtime and love, are as relevant today as when they were written nearly one thousand years ago.  The iconic music of Carmina Burana [...]
