Please join Joanne Tosti-Vasey, Chair of the Centre County Advisory Committee for the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC) and Jesse Barlow whose service on the PHRC's advisory board informed his work as a Council member and his public service in general. This presentation will discuss the function of the PHRC's role in enforcing Pennsylvania's anti-discrimination laws and the Advisory Committee's role in monitoring acts of tension against marginalized groups in Centre County.

Subu Vedam Case Information Session

Come to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Centre County on June 16 at 11:30 a.m. for a Subu Vedam Community Awareness program. Subramanyam (Subu) Vedam, a State College man, was wrongfully convicted of murder in 1982 and sentenced to life without parole, leading to decades of trauma for him and his family. Documents have recently surfaced showing that Subu could not have committed the crime, and that prosecutors concealed this evidence from his defense.
