Being An Ally to the LGBTQ+ Community

This presentation will discuss the function of the PHRC's role in enforcing Pennsylvania's anti-discrimination laws and the Advisory Committee's role in monitoring acts of tension against marginalized groups in Centre County.

UUFCC - Sanctuary 780 Waupelani Drive, State College, PA, United StatesCome to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Centre County on June 16 at 11:30 a.m. for a Subu Vedam Community Awareness program. Subramanyam (Subu) Vedam, a State College man, was wrongfully convicted of murder in 1982 and sentenced to life without parole, leading to decades of trauma for him and his family. Documents have recently surfaced showing that Subu could not have committed the crime, and that prosecutors concealed this evidence from his defense.
