Help make carnival funnel cakes for our congregation to sell at the Halloween Carnival. Show up at 10 am to prep and set up. Clean up after the event. Funds will go toward youth group trips.

The participants of the UUFCC Resilience and Acceptance in the Face of Collapse course (which met from October 2023-February 2024) would like to invite UUFCC members and others to participate in the UUFCC Resilience and Acceptance Discussion Group. Learn how to be an anti-racism, anti-oppression facilitator This fall the UUFCC will support the training of a handful of its members in anti-racism facilitation in preparation for offering the UUA’s Mosaic Lifespan Anti-Racism Curriculum at the UUFCC next spring. The training is offered by the UU Institute and the Racial Justice Committee will be hosting a discussion session on Sunday, October 27 for all who are signed up. The UUFCC Jazz Band is open to all. Rehearsals occur on Sundays in the Sanctuary, although occasionally the band may rehearse in Room 6 due to major church events. Contact David Morris if interested.

Tracy has also been very active getting out the vote like many of you. This morning we talk about the power and privileges of democracy that includes the vote.

It's that time of year again, Chili and the Mid-Year Meeting. Chili Cookoff will begin at 10:45 after the service. Please sign up to help run this event and bring chili or sides to make this event a success. Voting tickets will be sold for $5 per person and $10 per family. Regardless of the outcome of the 2024 election or even if we still don’t know the results of the election, Rev. Tracy will hold space for those who wish to debrief, share, and reflect on these last few months and the months ahead.
...with Virginia Hubbs. Life can feel difficult for long or short periods through health challenges, financial struggles, political turmoil and more. We will consider how we develop resilience to cope with-- and may even find gifts in-- such times.
