Community Event – AAUW Used Book Sale
The AAUW State College Used Book Sale, one of the largest used book sales in the country, is a popular community event held annually in the spring since 1962. During the sale, thousands of visitors converge on Penn State’s Snider Agricultural Arena to browse and purchase up to quarter of a million books and other materials. Special sale features include children’s books, collectibles, puzzles and games, a half-price day, and a “bag day” with further discounts. Multigenerational Sunday Service – “RE Sunday – Improvisation!”
...with Rev. Tracy Sprowls. Music: UUFCC Choir. Join us as we celebrate the wonder, growth, and joy we've encountered over this past year. We’ll have a group child dedication and thank our RE volunteers, too. We’ll also share a video of our families, kids, and adults as we've traveled together to learn, love, and be transformed.

Are you concerned about our democracy? Feeling overwhelmed and stressed by current events? Please join others in the library every Sunday after the service from 11 to 11:30 or longer for sharing and mutual support (except the first Sunday).
UU Common Read: Authentic Selves
The 2024-25 UU Common Read is Authentic Selves: Celebrating Trans and Nonbinary People and Their Families (Skinner House, 2023). Through interviews and photo portraits, the subjects of this book invite readers into their real lives--their revelations, challenges, joys, and networks of support. This Common Read invites UU groups to explore the nature of living authentically and the ways connections among us help us thrive. Authentic Selves, is a sweeping compilation of life stories and portraits of trans and nonbinary people, as well as their partners, parents, children, siblings, and chosen family members. UUFCC Jazz Band Rehearsal
The UUFCC Jazz Band is open to all. Rehearsals occur on Sundays in the Sanctuary, although occasionally the band may rehearse in Room 6 due to major church events. Contact David Morris if interested.
