Sunday Service – “Becoming Anyway: Trans Joy, Struggle, and Resistance”
As we reflect on this month’s theme of “Embracing Possibility,” we will explore transgender lives as an expression of the sacred act of becoming and the vast possibilities of the human spirit—while also naming the realities of oppression, struggle, and the forces that seek to limit those possibilities. From Soul Matters: "Of all our themes this year, Embracing Possibility is arguably most central to our faith. It has distinguished Unitarian Universalists from our beginning. Historically, when others saw depravity and sin at the core of human identity, we saw potential. When many were preaching that this world is fallen, we fell [...]
RE: Pre-K & K
Each week our kids gather to explore our world in light of our UU values. Pre-K/K friends will engage in guided exploration of various topics with their wonderful teachers, Sue Smith and Rocky Landers, downstairs in Room D.
RE: 1st-5th Grade
1st through 5th grade kids are learning our values through the monthly congregational themes, and have a bi-monthly social justice book project and activity. In services led by Rev. Tracy Sprowls, children remain in the Sanctuary until the Wisdom Lesson, then go downstairs to class. In multigenerational services, they stay for the entire service.
RE: Middle School
Middle School youth engage in UU Identity through themes each month and fun activities using our Soul Matters curriculum. In services led by Rev. Tracy Sprowls, kids remain in the Sanctuary until the Wisdom Lesson, then go to class. In multigenerational services, they stay for the entire service.
The history of Israel and Palestine Class Series
Sponsored by the Justice Committee & led by Janet Irons every Sunday in April. Join us for a discussion class exploring the history of Israel and Palestine in a safe space dedicated to providing you with deeper understanding and conversation. Utilizing resources from the UUA and Unitarian Universalists for Justice in the Middle East, we will guide you through historical contexts and terminology while highlighting local efforts to elevate the understanding of this crisis in our own community. Through sharing and reflection, we will discover meaningful activism opportunities and paths for action to support justice and peace both locally and beyond.
UU Adventurers: Zumba Dance! Bringing Spring Back Again!
All ages and experience levels welcome! Our own Corina Graif will lead us in this fun dance with lots of laughs and a sprinkle (or more, or less) of cardio! Wear relaxed and/or colorful clothes if you remember but, if not, come as you are. Water available. Contact Betsy Brett with any questions.
Worship Workshop Lay-led Training
Do you have an idea for a Worship Service? We’d love to hear your idea, and help you craft that service into reality! The Worship Committee will be holding an open meeting/training for all those who are interested in conducting or helping with a lay-led service when there are openings in the Worship Service schedule, especially during the month of July. You might also want to attend this meeting/workshop if you simply want to learn more about the Worship Committee and ways you might help out. RSVP to Elaine Jurs, Worship Committee Co-Chair. We look forward to working with you!
UUFCC Jazz Band Rehearsal
The UUFCC Jazz Band is open to all. Rehearsals occur on Sundays in the Sanctuary, although occasionally the band may rehearse in Room 6 due to major church events. Contact David Morris if interested.

Transitions
Meets on Zoom every 4th Thursday. We face transitions all the time from getting up in the morning after a night’s rest to retiring from a job to losing a loved one. Transitions are everywhere and they are everyday. What questions do you carry with you for those life changing transitions? What hopes or fears find their way into your consciousness? What can you offer others as they face their own transitions? This is a time to connect deeply and richly about the transitions, good and bad, in our lives.
