Sunday Service – “Celebrating UU Women in History”
with the Worship Committee. Music: UUFCC Choir Long before women were permitted to vote or to be ordained as ministers, many of them played important roles in building the faith we know today as Unitarian Universalism. Activists, suffragettes, religious educators, journalists, formerly enslaved people, many of them ultimately found their way to the pulpit. We will share the lives of several of them, including Sophia Lyon Fahs, Frances Barrier Williams, Maja Capek, Sofia Betancourt, and Susan Frederick-Grey, who have contributed, each in their own way, to the tradition of our liberal religion.
