Our goal is to maintain and enhance the UUFCC's green sanctuary certification by promoting ecojustice and the environmental practices that make ecojustice possible. We do this through projects at the UUFCC and in the broader community, focusing on renewable energy, and promoting the use of sustainable food, green transportation, and clean water.

This series explores the 5 smooth stones of Unitarian Universalism written by James Luther Adams as our starting point and container. The sessions cover: truth, connection, justice, agency, and hope. Come to any one session or all. Sign up here.
The UUFCC Jazz Band is open to all. Rehearsals occur on Sundays in the Sanctuary, although occasionally the band may rehearse in Room 6 due to major church events. Contact David Morris if interested.

Dr. Richard Alley will present his groundbreaking research on ice cores and Earth’s climate history, offering insight into how scientists understand past climate change and what that history tells us about the present. By studying records preserved deep within glaciers, Dr. Alley explains that while climate has always changed naturally, those changes have had profound impacts on life on Earth. Comparing past shifts in carbon dioxide to today’s conditions shows that current climate change is overwhelmingly driven by human activity, and scientific models accurately reflect the scale of the challenge we face.
