The Justice Singers of Centre County are an open community gathering for those who find power, healing, and connection through song in the face of injustice. The group sings songs of protest, resilience, and hope, drawing from resources like Rise Up Singing. Participants are encouraged to bring themselves, a friend, and an instrument if they like, but no experience is required—just a willingness to lift your voice. The circle also explores opportunities to sing at local actions and events, such as the May Day Strong Day of Action, Pride, and other protests. |

With Clinton Judy, Leslie Brown, Ken Riznyk, and Dr Adam Smith. Join us in singing any of your favorite hymns from the UU hymnals, including Spirit of Life, Blue Boat Home, and many others. People will be given the opportunity to call out their favorite hymn for everyone to sing! Members of the choir will also be there to help to lead us in singing. The public is invited to a Panel Discussion about the importance of outdoor recreation for people incarcerated at our county jail. Panelists include formerly incarcerated individuals Lee Powers, Kerry Cavenaugh and Irvin Moore, Cindy Carpenter who will speak on the importance of sunlight to our well-being, and Mark Kissling who will provide background on the campaign since it began three years ago. |

The UUFCC Song Circle offers a fun, monthly opportunity to make music together with voices, guitars, banjos, ukuleles, drums, kazoos, etc. Anyone from the Fellowship or local community can join us to play, sing, or listen. Join us for our annual hUUmor Sunday summer service devoted to looking at our UUselves and the wider world with a sense of humor through jokes, stories, music, cartoons, and much, much more. Wear your most outlandish shirt or blouse and come prepared to laugh! Bring a short joke to share during the open mic part of the service. The meeting will begin with an ice cream social so that the 30 people, or so from the 28 congregations can socialize, at 6 pm. If any of you are interested in learning about or serving on this very interesting and vital board, certainly come to this party to meet everyone.
