with Elaine Jurs. Music: Adam Smith. Join us for a short Worship Service, followed by a "work hour!" You may choose from a list of tasks both inside and outside the building. Grab a snack after the service, and come ready to help tidy up our Fellowship spaces. Working together is an act of service and love for our Beloved Community! We will have tasks for those who need to sit. Thank you! Some Sundays we will work in the new Layered Pollinator Habitat building pathways, labeling plants, and learning about what grows there. Other Sundays we will engage in Music and Play, a special curriculum developed by Karen Maynard. We hope your kiddos will participate! The UUFCC Jazz Band is open to all. Rehearsals occur on Sundays in the Sanctuary, although occasionally the band may rehearse in Room 6 due to major church events. Contact David Morris if interested. |

with Rev. Tracy Sprowls and Ashley Hamlin, DLRE. Music: UUFCC Choir Welcome to another year of community, love, and possibility! This service for all ages welcomes you to a new program year with a backpack blessing, music, story, and ritual. Please collect a bit of water from a place that is special to you, whether it be from your travels or somewhere close. Bring this water to the Water Ceremony where we will have an opportunity to share and mingle our water. This water is later purified and used in blessings and child dedications. Additionally, we will have our ingathering picnic [...] Our goal is to maintain and enhance the UUFCC's green sanctuary certification by promoting ecojustice and the environmental practices that make ecojustice possible. We do this through projects at the UUFCC and in the broader community, focusing on renewable energy, and promoting the use of sustainable food, green transportation, and clean water. |

with Rev. Tracy Sprowls. Jan Richardson, the writer, artist, and minister writes, “You hardly knew how hungry you were to be gathered in, to receive the welcome that invited you to enter entirely—nothing of you found foreign or strange, nothing of your life that you were asked to leave behind or to carry in silence or in shame.” We visit this theme often, but this morning we go a little deeper into what sanctuary means in today’s political climate. Each week our kids gather to explore our world in light of our UU values. Pre-K/K friends will engage in guided exploration of various topics with their wonderful teachers, Sue Smith and Rocky Landers, downstairs in Room D. 1st through 5th grade kids explore UU Identity through our Article II values with Legos.
