With Rev. Tracy Sprowls. Compassion means “to suffer together.” Researchers define compassion “as the feeling that arises when you are confronted with another's suffering and feel motivated to relieve that suffering.” Where does compassion fit into the work of the fellowship? This week: Start in the sanctuary for a Costume Parade and Thriller Flash Mob, then go downstairs with Sue to explore "My World Has Darkness", Sign-in is at the Welcome Table Each week our kids gather to explore our world in light of our UU values. Pre-K/K friends will engage in guided exploration of various topics with their wonderful teachers, Sue Smith and Rocky Landers, downstairs in Room D. 1st through 5th grade kids are learning our values through the monthly congregational themes, and have a bi-monthly social justice book project and activity. In services led by Rev. Tracy Sprowls, children remain in the Sanctuary until the Wisdom Lesson, then go downstairs to class. In multigenerational services, they stay for the entire service. |

with Ashley Hamlin, DLRE. When it feels as though the world is crashing down and so many people are living in growing suffering, how can we bring gratitude into focus and feel like we can give generously from a place of fullness, not deprivation? This service relates a familiar and delightful story, introducing three strange travelers who coax an entire town into realizing the richness of coming together, sharing, and feeding each other. Please sign up to bring an ingredient for our Stone Soup which we will feast on after the service! https://bit.ly/StoneSoup2025

with Rev. Tracy Sprowls. We explore what is normal for our lives and for the nation. We’ll look at what normal means- is there a “normal” or is that just a setting on the dryer? Also, we keep hearing the term “normalizing” in the news. What does that look like in today’s context? Each week our kids gather to explore our world in light of our UU values.
