Join us this week for our next Anti-Racism lesson: Lesson 4 ~ My Church, My Beliefs (1-2), Slavery (3-5) 1st-5th Grade friends will start in the sanctuary for the Wisdom Lesson and then leave for the Gathering Space for our time together.

Join our Middle School class to watch the Netflix documentary, Stamped from the Beginning, based on the book by Ibram X. Kendi. This will be our final viewing and discussion on this topic of anti-racism. This week's topic will center on: Myth of the Black Criminal Truth of Anti-Racism

with Rev. Tracy Sprowls... We end our 30 days of love with a conversation about love. What are we talking about when we use the word love in the context of justice?

The UUFCC Jazz Band is open to all. Rehearsals occur on Sundays in the Sanctuary, although occasionally the band may rehearse in Room 6 due to major church events. Contact David Morris if interested.

Our companions in life are death and grief and yet they are so difficult to talk about, and rarely at that. In times of loss, how do we find healthy comfort? Further, is emotional comfort something human beings should even expect as part of life? In the death workshop we will go over practical matters, memorial services, and think about our own deaths. The grief workshop includes how to walk with grief, writing condolence notes, and digging deep into the grief of being human. We’ll continue our journey of Social Justice Music through the span of Black American history as well as add new songs for Earth Day and Flower Celebration. At Your Service Auction 2024 Mardi Gras in May will be held May 4th at the UUFCC. We will again be doing a online auction paired with an in-person auction on Saturday night. The auction committee is looking for volunteers to help with the event this year, and as always, we are looking forward to your donations and participation. Meets on Zoom.
